My Family Heirloom Book

My family owns a homestead in Central Nebraska and my ancestors lived in a sod house and later built a farmhouse that my grandfather and father both lived in. With the farmhouse came a treasure trove of heirlooms – clothes, letters and photos. Meaningful stuff if you ask me!
The photos in particular kept getting passed from person to person in shoeboxes and finally I said – “Enough!” and I set out to archive the photos in digital format so we can begin to re-tell our family legacy now and in the years to come.
I was blown away by the service and quality of ScanCafe.com.

Here’s How It Works
- You order online and pay 1/2 down; price depends on how many photos you plan to scan.
- You send your photos to ScanCafe via UPS. They’ve done this before and it is trustworthy.
- They scan your images. It took about 2-3 weeks.
- You review your order online and throw out any photos you don’t want.
- You pay the remaining balance and they ship your photos back to you in the same way you organized ‘em.
- You receive all your photos and a CD of images for you to enjoy or an Heirloom Book, like I did.
If you’ve ever been faced with the question, how do I organize and archive old photos consider saving yourself some headache and use ScanCafe.com. If you have questions about making an Heirloom Book, let me know. I’d be happy to help.
Enjoy!
