I'm Laura Brooker, Holy Cow! Design Gal. Welcome to my online home!
I'm a twenty-something graphic designer who grew up in a village in Central Nebraska. I attended college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and landed a job in Omaha. I met and fell in love and now I live smack dab in the middle of the city and I am learning to love it.
I've been a freelance designer for about five years. Most of my clients are small business owners, life coaches, speakers; some are my friends and colleagues and every one of them is passionate about what they are doing and have a sense about what they want in the end.
My passion is to focus in on that sense and bring out the elements that communciate the story best. I like to listen and work hard until we get it right -what I call the "Holy Cow! Moment".
I hope you enjoy my website. I write about my transition from the country to the city. I write about things I'm learning. I post photos of things I love and, of course, chronicle the start-to-finish of various design projects.

My friend Tyson married his best friend Jerusha and they asked me for fifty custom wedding programs. The design element and logo are unique and their palette of periwinkle, dark blue and lime was so beautiful to work with!
Here are some snapshots of how my proof turned out. They finals turned out wonderfully and (from what I hear) the backyard Colorado wedding was beautiful. Congratulations T+J!
